What is all that stuff inside a tofurky?!

Question:

What is all that stuff inside a tofurky?

Answers:
If you mean the Tofurkey stuffing, it is wild rice-based stuffing. That means it is NOT a bread stuffing as would be expected with a traditional real animal (yuck!) turkey. It tastes pleasant, but has a different texture because of the wild rice. Not a bad texture, just not soft.

Sadly, Unturkey (made by Now and Zen) doesn't seem to be available anymore as their website lapsed on November 5 this year. They were the only faux-turkey that had a bread-based stuffing--not to mention crunchy soy skin.

Nonetheless, the wild rice stuffing in a Tofurkey is nice enough, though I would recommend, if you want the soft bread kind, getting Pepperidge Farms breadcrumb bags and seasoning and preparing it with the vegetable broth of your choice for a vegetarian alternative.

Tofurky is Turtle Island Foods' brand name for its tofurkey products, made from a blend of wheat gluten, or seitan, and organic tofu.
The company uses it for many of their meatless products, including deli slices, sausages, jerky, and franks.
All Tofurky products are entirely vegan and approved by the UK Vegan Society, and several are kosher-certified by the Kosher Services of America.
