Which Is The Healthier Starch?!
Which Is The Healthier Starch?
Brown or wild rice, or whole wheat noodles? Which is healthier?
Answers:
Starch is starch, but each of these have different nutrients to go with the starch.
Brown rice contains all the bran, which has iron, folate, riboflavin, magnesium, manganese, zinc, and insoluble fiber.
Wild rice is really a grass seed, and it has around 7 times more nutrients than brown rice with some calcium and alot of potassium (more than a banana).
Whole wheat has alot of nutrients too, but wheat is hard to digest (unless it is sprouted whole wheat) while both rices are easy to digest. If it is easier to digest then you will get more nutrients absorbed into the body.
Thus wild rice would be the best nutritious starch for me.
brown and wild both good for u and whole wheat is good for u too
Of the 3, probably brown rice. But it's better to use all 3 in different meals. I think the starches that pack the most nutrition are actually oats and barley, for the higher protein content.
wheat is not always good, wild rice is good but brown rice is the best.
it cimbines fibre with energy
Brown rice is healthier, I have never tried whole wheat noodles but whole wheat is better for you.
Brown rice, no doubt
