Waht common things could be in my room that are made from animals?!

Question:

Waht common things could be in my room that are made from animals?

I am a vegan and I need to get red of all my stuff that's made out of animals.

Answers:
any leather furniture, leather shoes, leather belts, leather jackets, gloves,

anything leather is made from cows...and if you have those pillows with feathers instead of cotton there made from some kind of bird.

yeah, even if you have a cotton belt it might have leather trim or something. i thought mine was vegan but there's a patch of leather with the brand name on it.

i need a new one.

but also, fur.. obviously.

Just because your vegan does not mean you should get rid of those things. You bought them in the past, is does not help just by getting rid of them. If you want to get rid of them sell them or give them to someone else who would like them, as the animal product has already been used. Being vegan to me would mean that you do not by any products or eat animal based ones. But time to time people will make mistakes and give you gifts ie animal tested shampoo etc. but by that time its to late, just tell them not to do it again as your vegan. Now if you were ultra-vegan ie you do not want any products, then the list can be far too endless, carpets, sofa, beddings, linning, curtains, wood (bees wax to polish them) etc etc just about anything can have an animal product in it.

I hate to say it but it's far too late for the animals who were used to make your 'things' already. Since there is nothing you can do to change the past, you just don't buy animal based products in the future. I think it's a better idea to use up the stuff you do have rather than throwing it all away. You could also think of it as a form of recycling. Example, I won't buy anything made out of leather that is new. If I find a pair of vintage doc martens though, you can bet I'm all over them.

Yes, I probably do it just to make myself feel better but why add to the landfill because of your new found diet.

Well if you want to really know then you might want to get out of your house because there are plenty animal products that help hold your home together!! Sorry...I didn't want to know that either!!!

Do you consider lobster a meal or is it off limits to you.???
Most Vegans I have known will not eat lobster. as this being the case if you fit into this group . you had best never bathe again you kill millions of these lobster ,crab like creatures on your skin , every time you do. Look under a microscope at your water ,yummy millions of unseen insects.
Run from your home as most of the glue and caulk in your house in a animal by product. even many paints are animal based.
As for myself I eat beef, my cow ate the grass . I ate my cow. So I guess that makes me a vegan by proxy.
I also am a card carrying member of PETA. people eat tasty animals.

Leather shoes, pillow or down comforter(if it has feathers in it),silk clothing(if it came from silkworm)

Check out your duvet and pillows to see they are filled with man made stuff and not duck down . The down is plucked from food animals and is not just feathers naturally shed by the ducks. Ivory is a no no. If you are vegan better throw out your silk sheets, silk is made by silk worms . Do not have wax or even worse tallow candles in your room.
I am sure I have forgotten something. Greenghost or Nick L would be the BEST people to ask.
Oh and make sure non of your buddies have left a half eaten hotdog under your bed!!!;0)

So the reason you do not eat animals or animal products because of torchuring animals? Then your shoes-leather, shirts-silk, belts-again with the leather, gasoline--dinosaurs were murdered! Paper--the rainforests are being depleted and the animals won't have any place to live. houses-more wood.
