Are vegan foods good tasting?!

Question:

Are vegan foods good tasting?

Are vegan foods like 'veggie burgers' and 'tofu burgers' good?

Answers:
Vegan Pizza

This pizza is so tasty that you will not miss the cheese!

Ingredients:

for the base:
500g./1 lb./3 cups plain flour, white or wholemeal
1 packet of easy blend dried yeast
200 ml./1 cup of warm water but keep adding until you get a good dough

topping:
1 tin chopped tomatoes (approx. 400g/14oz.)
2 tablespoons dried mixed herbs
2 tablespoons olive or sunflower oil
salt and pepper to taste
1 small tin of mushrooms or/and sweetcorn (optional)
sesame seeds for sprinkling on top

Mix the flour with the yeast and add the water gradually. Mix well (with your hands is best) and then knead for a couple of minutes until the dough is fairly smooth. Place on a large greased baking tray and flatten into desired shape (ie. - circle). Leave in a warm place while you prepare the topping: Mix together the tomatoes, herbs, oil and seasoning in a bowl and then spread over the pizza base. If using the mushrooms/sweetcorn - coat them in a little olive oil and arrange on the top of the pizza. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and bake at 200 C/400 F for 15 to 20 minutes until ready.

Variations - obviously you can add whatever toppings you like to the basic tomato mixture - olives, vegan 'cheeses', pineapple chunks, vegan meat substitutes etc. You can also vary the herbs used, add garlic and onion or add herbs or seeds to the base. If you want a softer base you can leave the dough to rise for half an hour before adding the toppings but we find it great without doing that.

Yes they are healthy

I think the meatless chicken nuggets taste better than "real" chicken nuggets and they don't come with the fear of that yellow rubber ball you get sometimes... ew

my ex-in-laws were all vegeterians some were good some were just ewwww. but its like half and half you know but i advise you too keep eating meats ok

They are great they taste just like burger kings except the have soy beans in them which are delicious

Depends on what you like......I personally liked steamed vegetables.

yeah, they're good. so are things like apple jacks with vanilla soymilk. .. very good.

They are good, but you have to get used to them first. I have known some people who have thought the vegan meat was real meat. They are also good for you unless you eat to much.

Vegan foods are good tasting to those who will find them good tasting. They can also be healty but they can also be very unheathly as well if there is too much sugar or fat in them. The term vegan is genernally used as a diet that is free from animal products, but such a diet is no good if you put other crap in it.

i love boca burgers! and there are a lot of frozen vegetarian/vegan meals that are good. morningstar has a lot and so does amy's.

Personally, I find that veggiburgers are much better than real ones, and soymilk is amazing. Tofu has no taste on its own, but if you add seasonings to it, it can be a brilliant addition!

veggie burgers are a good choice (good alternative to meat as well). but i like to make my own veggie patties. good part is most of veggies are supposed to have zero carbs (except potatoes and such). so u can eat guilt/sugar-free!

vegetable soups, veggie side dishes, veg. starters - u name it!

Best part is when i heard of vegan chinese restaurants. you have to try it out, if you find them in your neighborhood!

Yes they are SO good and they are also super healthy for you.

they r good and healthy for

It depends on what you eat. Some of of it isn't half bad. Trust me, it's definitely a developed taste, and a lot of it taste gross at first. But after while, you'll like it better the meat. (Which is, in my opinion, gross.) Plus it's a lot healthier than meat.

I think they are. It also depends on what brand you get. Boca and Lightlife are two good brands that I recommend eating.
