What can I use instead of nutritional yeast?!

Question:

What can I use instead of nutritional yeast?

Answers:
If you're looking for an alternate nutrition source you can use any of the Algae like Chlorella or Spirulina. Brewers or bakers yeasts are *not* good replacements for NT. In recipes as a general rule there isn't a good replacement for NT. If you don't like the taste of the brand(s) of NT you've tried let me know and I might be able to help as I have listings for 23 different strains/flavors of NT.

If you're seeking to avoid NT because you have an allergy you should have your doctor test you with different NT's! Most of the time it's Candida that causes a reaction and T6635 normally won't react (it's a strain of NT).

For what?

Nutritional yeast is either planet nor animal.

Nutritional Yeast is also called brewers yeast and is highly
nutritious. You could almost live on it. But to add 1 heaping tablespoon to cow's or goat's or soy or rice milk, would sure get you started right on the day. It would give you energy for most of the morning. There is no substitute for nutritional yeast.
Please don't use baker's yeast , altho many people used to eat a small cake of yeast for stamina and energy.

Impossible to answer unless you know what you want to substitute in. For texture? Flavor? Nutrients?

There really isn't any exact equivalent and I'm not sure why you want to omit it.
