Just bought some PVC heavy metal style thigh Length boots (all totally man-made!!!) They are my favourites at the moment!!! Perfect for the older rock chick!

I go for the cheapies(first link)! Couple of times a year they go for $11.99 and I'll grab a few pairs. For visiting plants & factories I go with the second one. I've bought 'real' just for veggie shoes before but my experience was that they weren't as comfy and didn't last much longer than the 'slave labor' ones. Asics used to be all synthetic (and were great) but around ten years ago they started using leather trim. When I was a 'kid' I used to wear deck shoes like the vans but they don't have enough 'padding' for my "ole bones".
