As a vegetarian, do you sometimes eat fish and dairy products?!
As a vegetarian, do you sometimes eat fish and dairy products?
Answers:
vegetables, chicken, rice, etc
:> peace
.
i believe those are called "lacto-octo" vegetarians.
Yes, I eat dairy and fish. Try not to eat dairy, but I do like to go out and that would leave almost nothing to eat :)
yes!
Just a reminder that fish is an animal, and the fish was killed for you to eat. Vegetarians do not eat animal flesh. Dairy and eggs (not fertilized) are not animal flesh, just by-products, and therefore you can eat both of those, but not fish. If you eat fish, then you are an omnivore still. So no, as vegetarians we don't eat fish.
I am a 50/50 veggie so I eat fish and natural dairy products. I am getting more into Natural foods.
there are diffrent types of vegetirans.
i'm a lacto-octo vegetrian.
that means i use animal products (such was wool, leather, ect) and i eat dairy products (even though i'm lactose and tolarent) but i don't eat any flesh.....such as fish, cow, chicken, pig, ect
google diffrent vegetrian types

fish, no. dairy products, sometimes. i don't drink milk (both because of my vegetarianism and i just don't like the taste) and i don't eat cheese unless it is on a pizza or cream cheese on a bagel or something like that.
Yes. Next question!
No. That would be a "Lacto-ovo pescetarian"
I eat no animals, but I do eat animal products such as eggs and cheese. I choose not to drink milk for health reasons (though it doesn't make sense beacause I eat cheese and other dairy).
Lacto-Ovo vegetarians eat dairy and eggs but no animals
Vegans eat no animal products whatsoever. (including marshmellows found in cereals and such because of gelatin. also some don't even eat honey)
dairy products, yes.
fish, no.
dairy isn't really the animal. fish is. just like eggs. i can eat eggs because it was never an animal. there are fertalized eggs, and not-fertalized eggs. i have chickens, 4 of them. and i do not raise them to eat. i am only 11 and am a vegetarian.
I eat dairy products because I'm not vegan...
though I want to be, but my mother isn't allowing me too...
butttt.... I just stopped eating fish....
sometimes I eat shrimp though.
fish no.. thats meat.. dairy yes... I am vegetarian, not vegan...LOL.
I'd like to answer this, even though I am not a vegetarian anymore, I was one for several years.
I am allergic to dairy so that was never an issue. As for fish, back when I was a vegetarian, I would not touch it. I was extremely strict. It was simply a matter of logic - fish is not a vegetable. Fish are living creatures and their flesh is made of meat, and since eating meat does not equate to vegetarian, no fish for me. I couldn't see any reason to call myself a vegetarian if I ate any animal products. It made no sense to me.
I'm not a vegetarian anymore, though. I eat some types of fish and eggs now.
I eat diary products sometimes but never fish!
Fish is an animal so it's meat it has to be killed to be eated As for dairy products it's a by product no animal gets killed. I'm almost a vegan cause I don't each much eggs or milk. Contrary to what most think we are not ment to eat meat
Genensis: 1:29 All Herbs and fruit bearing seed thou shalt eat for thy meat!
Also are Intestines are long meat can sometimes cause a blockage! If we were ment to eat meat we'd be build more like a cat, dog, or tiger. If you eat meat your cells become oblong. If you're a vegetarian from birth your cells are circular.. If you were a meat eater then become vegetarian your cells become oval
Meat is dead protein.. If you eat meat you are eating death! You are want You eat!
No, I wouldn't consider myself vegetarian if I ate any fish- it's an "animal" (and has flesh). Lacto-vegetarians (who consume dairy products) are considered to be a type of vegetarian.
Fish is not vegetarian. Some people who only eat fish consider themselves "partial vegetarians" but that's like being only a little pregnant.
Lacto-vegetarians eat dairy but nothing you have to kill to eat, and ovo-vegetarian eat eggs. Lacto-ovo vegetarians eat dairy and eggs.
Vegans are extremists who eat nothing that is animal derived whether any "cruelty" is involved at all. Some of them won't wear wool even though shearing doesn't hurt sheep. It's based on emotion and sometimes on erroneous propaganda from sources like PETA. A vegan diet is nutritionally inadequate for human beings. A vegetarian diet that includes some dairy and/or eggs is perfectly all right.
I've even know one hardline vegan who still wears furs because she had them before she "converted" and they are already dead.
no fish. vegetarian means to not eat animals. fish are animals. people who eat fish and an otherwise vegetarian diet are called pescetarians. people who eat chicken and an otherwise vegetarian diet are called polletarians. people who dont eat meat are called vegetarians and people who dont eat any animal products are called vegans.
of vegetarians there are ovo-vegetarians who eat eggs but no dairy, lacto-vegetarians who eat dairy but no eggs and lacto-ovo vegetarian who eat eggs and dairy (as well as veggies etc)
as a vegetarian, i dont eat any flesh, nor do i eat eggs or honey. i do eat cheese and rarely yoghurt, cream and milk. i'm on my way to becoming a vegan.
vegan diets are perfectly healthy if you do them right.
and someone above said that wool production doesn't hurt sheep. wrong. sheep get cut during shearing, but the worst part is that they go through what is known as mulsing, which means cutting the skin around their bum off without any kind of anaesthetic. it's cruel
Vegetarians NEVER eat fish. Per the Vegetraian society and The North American Vegetarian Society, People that eat fish are not vegetarians. A Pescatarian is still really a meat eater, fish is still dead animal flesh an animal died to make a meal! A Lacto , Lacto Ovo, or Ovo Vegetarian Will eat Milk and or Dairy because nothing was killed to make the foods. While pescatarian is a step in the right direction it is still a kind of Omnivore. Ok, whilst fish are not very advanced compared with birds and Mammals but they still kind of think and actually feel pain.
A vegetarian does not eat fish...never. Dairy products is a different story, it's not the flesh of an animal so it's up for grabs. Some vegetarians do use dairy and some don't.
someone who calls themself a vegetarian and eats fish is not vegetarian.I hate that.No I don't eat dairy.
No vegetarians dont eat fish. Yes to all dairy products.
I don't really understand where the confusion is....
vegetarians don't eat animals.
fish=animal
therefore,
vgetarians don't eat fish.
also, vegetarians do eat dairy. Vegans do not.
I don't eat fish because it's the actual animal flesh. I don't mind dairy products because the cow is still moo-ing (despite the fact that it may be mooing in super-crappy conditions, I know). However, it's not a moral issue for me, it's one of taste preference.
Well for me, I don't eat fish but I still have cheese, and sometimes yogurt, but I drink soy milk. But there are vegetarians who eat fish they are called pesco vegtarians. I am a lacto-ovo- vegetarian who somday hopes to cut the ovo out and not eat eggs. Plus if I could find soy cheese and soy yogurt I'd be a vegan.
No. Then I would not be a vegetarian.
Someone who eats no other meat besides fish is a pescatarian. Someone who eats no other meat besides chicken is a pollotarian.
im lacto-ovo vegetarian so i still eat diary products and eggs.
but i dont eat fish because that is still meat
Fish, no. That is a sad dead animal. Cheese, yes.
