Why did Natalie Imbruglia advertise for L'Oréal???!
Why did Natalie Imbruglia advertise for L'Oréal???
Why a vegan, which implies that she is concerned with animal exploitattion, would do such a hypocritical thing like this?? I mean, L'Oréal are well known for being the compagny that uses the most animals for testing...
I'm even more surprised by the fact that her husband, Daniel Johns, really is an activist, and i dont understand how this could happen...
Is money the strongest thing in the world, stronger than your ethics and principles?
Anyone heard any comments by Imbruglia about it, like, was she blamed, somehow, or something?
Thx guys if you have any clue. It's not worth to answer if you don't get the point of why animal testing is bad. I'm fed up with sarcasm.
Thx!

Well...i don't think l'oréal stopped anything with animal testing...So, yeah, it must only be about money...

Yeah, vegan&proud, i focused on the testing on animals, but of course it the products have animal ingredients in it, then, it's just as bad as the rest...But there are some brands who dont test on animals AND dont use animal products either...But you're basically right.

i not sure about the question, but don't you hate when a shampoo botlle says We Do Not Test Our Products On Animals but then you read the ingredients and it has animal by-products in the shampoo. If the company uses animal by-products what makes them any better if they don't test on animals.
Economic might supercedes ecological right... when money talks, you listen!!
Maybe she needed the money/publicity.
This is sad. But i hold out hope that she used that money to raise animal rights awareness or gave some to a charity.
i'm ignorant of the whole situation, but it's not unheard of for people to go vegan for strictly health reasons.
bummer.
Since her music career isn't doing too well she probably just did it for the publicity and the money.
Maybe she didn't do any research into the company before she signed on.
Are you sure?
"Using animals in cosmetics research was banned in the UK in 1998 and will be illegal across the EU by 2009. Last night, a spokesperson for L'Oreal, the world's biggest cosmetics manufacturer, said: "We have invested considerable time and effort for over two decades in developing and validating alternative safety testing methods. As a result, we voluntarily stopped animal testing on our entire range of cosmetics products in 1989.""
