Can a vegetarian go back to eating meat easily?!
Can a vegetarian go back to eating meat easily?
I have heard that someone that has not eaten meat for years and years can't go back to meat because it would be like a poison to my system. Is this true?
Answers:
It really depends are how strict you were. You could ween yourself back on to meats like I did when I changed my diet from being a total vegan to vegetarian due to extreme "lack of iron" issues. I added small amounts of chicken and turkey as well as yogurts and cheeses. I don't have any problems with these foods and my blood is now perfect. I would be really careful about adding red meat. Try just taking ONE bite of a high quality burger (chewed very well) and see how you fare. I found that I really had HUGE issues with beef boullion which is simply the fat (I was sick for days). I would take it really easy with the reds but you should be able to build up a tolerance for it again if you take it slow.
I dont think so, but I think it would be hard to digest it at first.
Not really....
no. not true. i know when my gf was pregnant she ate meat to make sure the baby was getting all the nutrients she needed
he can't suddenly but so he should make a nutrition progrram to get his stomach used to meat again...
I feel sorry for all vegetarian.
if ur veg know u can take raw veg also why cant u took boiledone nnon veg
No it's not true.
You can return to eating meat easily (your stomach does not need to "get used to" eating meat again. Meat eaters need to transition slowly into a vegetarian diet because there is often an increase in fiber and energy, but as long as you still eat grains and vegetables your body will respond well to the addition of meat.)
If you want to ease yourself into it, start with fish, then poultry.
I started eating meat again when I became pregnant and it was a simple, easy transition.
as everything if you are used to it...... it would be hard like quiting smoking and such, but i can`t imagine how could you give up meat in the first place :D
My sister has been a vegetarian for 15 years (since she was 10 years old). She did accidently eat meat a few years ago (vegetable soup that actually included ham) she was violently ill for about 24 hours.
i am a vegetarian who has gone back to meat once due to an illness, and i would recommend starting with lighter, lean meats such as free-range chicken or fish, before going into the heavier steaks and such. slowly incorporate meat back into the diet, with no more than one meat meal per day at first, and there should be no stomach irritation or over-eating (which repressed carnivores have a tendency to do once some juicy meat is introduced to their pallet).
meat will not poison you, unless you plan on feasting upon raw eggs or mad cows.
My friend, whenever his in the resturant he can smell meat and he would just get out of there, so the answer to your Question is it is not true
No, it won't "poison" your system. It may make your stomach alittle queasy at first but that's because you haven't eaten any in awhile. It may even make you sick at first. It depends if your stomach can take it. Some people have strong stomachs and others do not. If you eat too much meat, then you're asking for your system to be poisoned. Alittle is fine or the recommended amount.
it wont so much -poison- the system, but it can make them violently ill, especially if they haven't eaten meat in a very long time. they'd have to introduce it in gradually, possibly white meat first, then a lean red meat.
no, i started eating meat about 3 years ago, im totally fine, you just have to get used to the taste of it.
For some people, yes, it's very difficult to go back. Just as, for some people, being a vegetarian is very hard on their body. I know a few people who have had to go to the hospital and were told that they had to eat meat to be healthy. I guess their bodies were just less evolved or something.
Your body would likely struggle at first as it would be used to digesting lighter foods like beans and lentils, so eating meat again would be a shock to to the system, including the bowels would might become very constipated. If you do want to go back to eating meat (though I don't understand why anyone would after being veggie, but still) it would be wisest to introduce it gradually, as opposed to suddenly consuming large quanities of meat which will probbaly upset your stomach.
I have been a veg for 11 years and I could never go back to eating meat in my whole life, but I have a friend who went back and she had no problems!
no idea really .but i dont think it must be a problem . please consult your doctor
