Something to do with vegeterians?!

Question:

Something to do with vegeterians?

just wondering, are there vegeterians who eat things like chicken ceasar salads and pick out the chicken? or other things with meat in it and just pick out the meat?

Answers:
if they are a vegitarian like me who think it is wrong to eat animials they won't do that they won't even eat things prpeared on the same surface or close to meat . but if they just don't like meat they will pick it out of their food

NOT ME!!! It drives me crazy when my food is even cooked on the same grill/pan as meat, let alone actually TOUCHING it!

It depends on the person and why they are a vegetarian. I've known some vegetarians that will pick meat out of something. But, on the other hand, I've known vegetarians that won't eat anything that has come in contact with meat (or meat juices, or meat stocks).

Even after picking out the meat the surround still has traces of meat on it, Im a veggie and the only time I have ever done something like that was when my dad took me and my sister out to lunch as a treat and the guy gave me a quiche lourainne instead of a veggie quiche and my dad wasnt in the best of moods so i just picked the ham strips out and ate the rest. I must have accidently eaten like 3 strips by the end!

Most don't do that, but I have known people who will (including myself). As long as the meat isn't too infused into the dish then I'll do it. I've partaken of a friend's pasta topped with grilled chicken, just didn't eat the chicken.

By the way, if you're asking this because you are having a vegetarian as a dinner guest and want to make something with meat and ask him/her to pick it out, then the answer is no. Please don't do that.

Most have a strong preference, they won't eat anything that's been near meat.

it actually depends on why the person is even a vegetarian

Yaapp.. my husband does... and he still eats egg and drink milk.. he just doesnt want to eat meat.. and thank god its easier for me when I do the cooking.. haha...

i try to avoid doing things like this because i dont like tasting meat on my food. however sometimes it is unavoidable.

Yeah I agree with the one guy who said, it depends why you are a vegetarian. I don't really care about animals that much but I do it because it's just plain healthier. The occasional accidental meat particle in my food will not kill me. So yes I will pick meat out/off of things and I don't usually mind if it has touched it.

No I don't. I wouldn't buy anything with meat and pick out the meat later on because then I would be supporting the meat industry by buying their meat product. I wouldn't do it if it was someone Else's leftover either by the way because I'm very much opposed to eating meat and byproducts like gelatin.

I wouldn't. If omnivores think that's weird or extreme (which plenty do) I tell them to think of it like an allergy; if you were highly allergic to peanuts, you wouldn't just pick them out of a cookie and eat the rest.

Even if the chicken was picked out, Caeser dressing is not vegetarian..it's got anchovies.

A real vegetarian won't eat anything that's been touched by any kind of meat. And just so you know, Cesar dressing is not vegetarian because it has anchovies in it.
