What is quineoa?
I understand it is a food substance
Answers:
Quinoa is not a true grain, but is the seed of the Chenopodium or Goosefoot plant, it is a pseudo-grain and a pseudo-cereal rather than a true grain or a true cereal as it is not a grass.
It is used as a grain and substituted for grains because of it's cooking characteristics.Quinoa (Keen-wahs) a species of goosefoot grown as a crop for its edible seeds. Its leaves are also eaten as a leaf vegetable, much like amaranth.
The quinoa seed is high in protein, calcium and iron, a relatively good source of vitamin E and several of the B vitamins.
It's a grain primarily grown in South America, and a nice alternative to some people who are unable to eat wheat. It's used to make pasta, breads, flours, ect..
I believe that Quineoa is an old wooden ship from the civil war era.

It is a grain that you can have instead of rice. It's widely available these days.
It's a sort of grain (my dad reckons it looks like birdseed). You can get red or white varieties in most healthfood shops, though I prefer the red one.
It's also the best source of protein there is - better than meat so
