Question:

Best way to cook and season asparagus?

what is thebes/fastest way to cook and season asparagus

Answers:
when you get it home wash it and then hold both ends firmly of one stalk and bend, where it breaks is where you want to cut the rest of it. discard the ends of it.

sprinkle it with olive oil, sea salt and put it in the bottom of a brown paper bag, toss in a couple of thin lemon slices and fold the bag down flat. rub a bit of the oil on top of the bag, so it doesn't burn in the oven.

bake on 300 for about 20 minutes. perfect steamed asparagus. :)

steamed with salmon or fish and with garlic salt and herbs

Steamed and put some oyster sauce with sesame oil.
Or you could just cook it with scrambled eggs.

If you just want to cook the asparagus by itself. You can steam it with a sprinkling of lemon juices and a dash of salt. You can do it in the microwave also, and if you like a cheese, steam if first until tender with add cheese and melt over it. Also you can saute it on the stove in a pan with a little butter it will be crisper. Good eats and God Bless.

First of all cut the hard end of the Asparagus, wash it. Bring water to boil, add a bit of salt in the water. Through the asparagus in the boiling water. Let it cook for Maximum 5 minutes. I don't like it too raw so it depends on your taste. Then drain it and put your favorite dressing on top. I just add lemon juice, some soy sauce flax seed or olive oil. This is the easiest method I know of.

I used to hate aspargus. My Greek boss made this and insisted I try it. Now I do it at home all the time. It is so delicious.
I even went out and bought one of those countertop grills so I could make this if the weather is be. ( i have a gas grill but, if it's raining...)

Prep and clean.
Toss in a bit of EVOO. extra virgin olive oil.
Sprinke with Salt and Pepper.
Spread on baking sheet.
Broil/bake them.
They turn out great and simple!

toss with a little olive oil and sautee in a pan with some salt and pepper, try to keep it simple. be careful not to over cook, it's delicious when it's crisp.

If you're into grilling, here's an easy method. In a freezer sized Ziploc bag add trimmed asparagus (break the woody ends off), add olive oil, salt, and pepper. Mix gently, making sure the seasonings are evenly distributed. Grill asparagus until bright green. Enjoy!
