Vegetarians?!

Question:

Vegetarians?

are you vegetarian and is it ok to be a vegetarian??

Answers:
It's totally fine if you educate yourself about what you eat. If you eat a lot of fast food or processed foods than it may not be the lifestyle for you. check out: www.ppk.com for recipes, forums, etc...
If you're surrounded by unsupportive people it will be hard. If you are strong in your belief in vegatarianism then it shouldn't matter what others think. Protein is a big point of contention for carnivores, but you can get just as much from other sources.

good luck!

It is ok to be anything you want.

I am not a vegetarian because i love animals, I just hate plants.

Actually, I'm not even a vegetarian.

doesnt seem natural to me, but for other's, fine. I hope they get their protien

it is fine to be a vegetarian, it is up to you.
but we are designed to eat meat in the first place.
but i have to say it is your choice

There are many reasons why people go "veggo", from health to ecological and religious concerns, compassion for animals, belief in non-violence, for economic reasons or purely because they dislike the taste of meat.

Yes and yes.

I'm a vegetarian and I think it's ok for you to be a vegetarian, a healthy one too, I'm a vegetarian because I've always been disgusted by meat and I feel guilty and just weird eating it, but everytime a meateater finds out, they always feel a need to justify themselves, even when you don't provoke them or say anything, just expect it, I'm not a vegan because I find it ok to eat eggs, they are unfertilized anyways, and dairy products, because you're not harming the animal- I'm just tired of meat eaters ridiculing vegetarians, but that's life

I feel sorry for all those pigs and cows...
BUT I JUST FOKKING LIKE HAMBURGERS!!!!

That depends on your personal needs and history everyone is different, there is nothing illegal or socially wrong about being a vegetarian, but you need to consider what is best for you.Vegetarian diets need to be carefully balanced and some people do not do well
on them others thrive. You need to do what makes you feel your best.

I'm a vegetarian. It's great. At first I did miss smoked salmon, well actually, still do but I can live with that. Still eat Shepherds Pie, Bolognaise and curries etc. but I just use quorn mince and flavour with garlic etc. There's a lot more choice now than years ago. (UK here).

You can incorporate beans and pulses into curries, stews etc. I still have roast dinner just vege. pie or vege. 'meat' with all the other stuff.

If you became a vege. you will miss some things at first but you will be more healthy as no animals fats

Hope this helps.

I am vegetarian. It is fine to be one. I assume that you mean helath wise. A lot of peple worry about vegetarians getting enough prtein but hardly any vegetarians lack protein. It is more common for vegetarians to lack iron, but as long as you have fortified breakfast cereals, fortfied margarine, leafy green vegetales, marmite, seeds, nuts, dried fruit etc you can easily get enough and men don't need very much iron anyway and nor do post menopausal women. Itis most important in pregnancy but pregnant women are tested for irn deficincy and given supplements if necessary.

I am not a vegetarian. It is OK to be one, it is also OK to eat meat.

No I'm Vegan, and Yes it's ok to be Vegetarian.

Of course it is ok. I have been a vegetarian for over 5 years. It is very healthy if you take the trouble to get all the vitamins and protein that your body needs. Check to see of there are vegans in your area. They can steer you to good healthy foods. If you remain vegetarian for a year you will wonder how you ever ate meat. Good luck

Yep, been one for 26 years. I'm an arable farmer so not sickly or a pale-faced weakling like some people would have you believe.

No need to take any suppliments

its deffinatly ok to go veggie! as long as u are getting enough nutrients and vitamins. why make animals suffer when there are so many meat substitutes? and yes, im a lacto-ovo vegetarian.

lacto-ovo vegetarian- does not eat red meat, poultry, or fish but does eat eggs and dairy products

lact vegetarian- does not eat any meat or eggs but does eat dairy products

ovo vegetarian- does not eat any meat or dairy but does eat eggs

pesco or semi vegetarian- does not eat red meat, may eat some poultry, eats fish eggs and dairy products

vegan or true vegetarian- does not eat any meat, eggs, or milk also does not use animal by-products like honey wool ect.

vegatarian life is Sh%%^$tnit would not go back to ever eating meat, the only thing keeping the right amount of protein, since I am a personal trainer I need that protein to keep my weight, most vegetarians become all skinny, but I have never stop lifting weights at 6'6 240lbs of raw steel I'm super strong although I am a vegetarian-no meat for me

yes i am.. been one all my life (due to my religion) and im lovin' it... and hey, i get my proteins and energy just as much as the meat eaters... its also great cuz im an animal lover and wudnt bear to eat them...

No, I'm a meat-eater, but it's ok to be a vegetarian as long as you include enough protein in your diet.
