Nooo! Apples are a zero-calorie food. You burn more eating them than there are actual calories in them. They're great! And they taste reeeaally good!

saltine crackers.........B!TCH

nope, high in fiber and vitamins. great for you, plus the sugars are natural, so they dont spike your insulin

too much of any fruit is bad for you... it contains fructose (natural sugar)
one fruit a day is good for you

No, of course not. Apples are a wonderful source of roughage, plus the old adage, "an apple a day keeps the doctor away," seems to be true. They are delicious and low-calorie treats, and if that weren't enough, in a pinch, they can substitute for a toothbrush. Now apple PIE is an entirely different ball of wax, LOL.

Absolutely not. Apples are wonderful for diets for several reasons...

1) Apples (with the skin on) are an excellent source of nutrition. The vitamins and minerals you get will supplement anything lacking in your diet.

2) They satisfy you urge to chew.......a full 50% of what drives us to eat every day. The amount of time it takes to eat an apple equals what it would take to to eat a normal meal....meaning you fill on less food.

3) If you add eating slowly to the above, you can reduce your caloric intake on average by well over 1000 calories a day.

Eat up, sweetie!!!

There's a reason people say "an apple a day keeps the doctor away". Apples are not only a tasty snack, they are very good for you in many ways (including promoting weight loss).

From Wikipedia:
"Research [4] suggests that apples may reduce the risk of colon cancer, prostate cancer and lung cancer. Like many fruits, Apples contain Vitamin C as well as a host of other antioxidant compounds, which may reduce the risk of cancer by preventing DNA damage. The fibre content, while less than in most other fruits, helps regulate bowel movements and may thus reduce the risk of colon cancer. They may also help with heart disease, weight loss and controlling cholesterol, as they do not have any cholesterol, have fibre (which reduces cholesterol by preventing reabsorption), and are bulky for their caloric content like most fruits and vegetables."

No

NOPE NOT TO MY KNOWLEDGE FRIUTS A GREAT FOR YOU

Apples are a great source of simple carbohydrates. I would suggest eating an apple with your pre-or-post workout meal for a quick boost of energy.

No, they're quite good. The calories in an apple are less than the calories that it takes to digest it, so they're termed "negative calorie".

Eating snacks like apples also helps to keep up your metabolism throughout the day.

They also have vitamins, vitamin C being a key one.

So really, the more appples you eat, the better it is for you & for your diet.

They are a great snack. Just be careful not to eat the seeds. I have heard they are not good for you.

No.....they are good for you.....and remember
AN APPLE A DAY KEEPS THE DOCTOR AWAY

Apples are a low calorie, fat free, high fiber food. That sounds pretty good, except for any diet that's high calorie, high fat or low fiber.

I've looked through several bodybuilding sites and many of the bodybuilders recommend that you don't eat fruits while trying to lose weight because it can slow down weight loss. But I have lost weight and was having a fruit smoothie in the morning,so I don't think it makes a huge difference but for a bodybuilder one pound is a big difference so that is probably why they don't recommend it.

No ! high in fiber, low in sugars.
