What can I use to make a recipe using egg yolks vegan?!

Question:

What can I use to make a recipe using egg yolks vegan?

I know what to use to replace whole eggs in a recipe (flaxseeds, bananas, Ener-G egg replacer, soft tofu, etc) but the recipe can't taste like bananas and I don't if the other alternatives will work or how much to use. Any suggestions? Thanks! =)

I didn't include the recipe because it's one that most people probably wouldn't know. It's a recipe for Polish cookies called Hrusciki.
-4 egg yolks
-1 tbsp sugar
-3 tbsp sourcream (I'd use a vegan kind)
-1/2 tsp vanilla
-1 tbsp butter (again, I'd use a vegan margerine)
-1 1/2 cups flour
The problem is that I don't need to replace -whole- eggs, just the yolks. Should I follow the recipe like I was going to replace whole eggs, but just use less of the replacer?

You would have to post the recipe. It definitely depends on what you're making...
But here's a page on normal egg replacers; that's all I can do w/o the food... http://www.theppk.com/veganbaking.html...

EDIT:
Okay, then yes, i suppose you should just use less of. I, like most people, us Ener G Egg Replacer. It's a great sub, and it says 1 1/2 teaspoons of the powder and 1 tablespoon of water. (It's usually 2 Ts)
I suggest this, but the only thing you can do is experiment: it's never guarantied.
So go on out and buy some Energ G! :P
Good luck!

I am not really understanding the questio but applesauce is sometimes used to replace eggs.

um......may be you should use that good ol Toffu :-) If your baking something you should use apple sauce..... I think....don't take my advice 100%

Hi Lizzy,

Hope this link will help you out:

Thanks for the recipie!!! My Grandmother used to make those.

Guessing from the link Mary gave, i'd choose tofu or egg-replacer for the yolks. Maybe a combination of the two?
