Good book called "Diabetes: eat and enjoy" has good advice and recipes.

you can ask your doctor to make out a diet plan. also, if you want a vegetarian diet, i would try a nutritionlist.

If you are UK have you tried www.diabetes.co.uk? they have a lot of helpful advice on how to look after yourself in general and have a number of books on diet and cookery including their own Diabetes Cookbook (I bought that one when I was first diagnosed), and others on healthy eating and GI foods.
If you are US there is diabetes.org.

diabetic diets are those diets that should′t contain sugar and i think you can get them in vegetable shops.
