Do vegans use non-nutritive sweetners?!

Question:

Do vegans use non-nutritive sweetners?

I know the FDA general stance regarding these sweetners is that they are "generally safe" for human consumption. I just don't buy that. Do any of you guys use the stuff?

Answers:
That stuff is poison. It gives me a headache right away. Best natural sweetener that are low cal. are:

Stevia and Zyletol found at health food stores.

Im a vegeterian- I use honey. I don't think of anything artificial as really safe, esspecially the fake sugar... The FDA says alot of things-not all of them are true-Its a money game.

I'm wary of artificial sweetners. It makes sense to think that the human body is going to have trouble dealing with anything unnatural. I'm not vegan though. Animal flesh is natural and I love to eat it because my body is optimized to handle a mixed diet.

steva, or stiva, I forget the spelling. Natural, good, none sugar.

THEY ARE NOT SAFE..try Stevia.

No I don't. their are many serious health risks involved. Look at the EU's stance on them. Europe seems a bit more concerned with public health over corporate profits. Unlike the US.
