How do you neutralize the fishy taste of seaweed?!

Question:

How do you neutralize the fishy taste of seaweed?

Such as in vegan sushi.

Answers:
wash it well with water. then, if you're using it for salad or just want to pop it into your mouth, dress it with a little vinegar and salt. and of course, i assume we're talking about the edible kind of seaweed here. (just in case a jokester gives a different kind of tip.)

Try soaking it in a little milk. That usually takes any off taste out of just about anything.

If the small amount of nori in rolls bothers you that much, try leaving it out. You can make rolls without nori, they'll just be a little stickier. Roll them with plastic wrap to keep them from sticking too much. Or, alternatively, try wrapping your sushi in yuba instead of nori-- yuba has a much more neutral flavor. You could also try sushi that doesn't involve nori, such as inari.

Hope this helps!
