What kind of vegetarian am I...or am I not? What do I call me? lol?!

Question:

What kind of vegetarian am I...or am I not? What do I call me? lol?

I don't feel bad for the animals. It's just that I feel disgusted at the thought of eating them. But, people often ask me why I eat/drink dairy products. I simply say that I am against eating things that once walked or flew. Here is my diet:

No animal meat, no poultry.
I do eat dairy products---milk and cheese
I do upon the very rare occasion eat seafood
I do not eat eggs with the exception of things made with eggs like bread, cakes, cookies, and the such.

So is there a name for this? Please let me know as I am sick of explaining this to people

Well, I have been considering giving up seafood as well since I haven't had any in quite some time and I haven't had any uncontrollable cravings for it either. Unfortunately, I will never ever in a million years give up bread or cheese! So please....from now on call me a

lacto-ovo-vegetarian

Thanks so much for the info! :)

Just tell people you don't eat meat, you are not a vegetarian if you still eat sea-food (no matter how rarely).

Pescatarian.

well your just not a vegan a vegan is like straight up no meat nothing that comes fom animals basicly fruits and vegetables you're just a regualr vegetarian I totally get like your intentions or whatever but ya there's no real name for it

Your a NON-strict vegetarian. Milk, cheese and eggs come from animals. Its horrible how they make cheese, but hey,you dont care for the animals.

If you eat milk/eggs.............lacto-ov... vegetarian.

If you eat fish..............pesco vegetarian.

No offense but i think thats called picky eating habits...

I was once vegan..awhile ago. If I remember correctly, you would be lacto-ovo-vegetarian but to me since you eat seafood..to me and most veggies our there, you aren't a vegetarian of any sort. Meat is meat..no matter if it comes from land or water.

Lacto-Veg. I believe means that you are don't eat meat but still consume dairy (milk and cheese)
Lacto-Ovo-Veg means you don't eat mean but you do consume dairy and eggs. Even the little bit of egg that exists in bread, cakes, etc still counts as eating eggs.

So very very loosely you are a Lacto-Ovo-Vegetarian

No, there isn't a name for this. You're not a vegetarian. You're just a picky eater. Haha just kidding. You just don't eat animal meat and poultry besides seafood. Thats what you tell people. And I guess you don't eat eggs cause.... I don't know? You don't like them? Me either hehe.

Vegetarians can be separated in to mainly four types:

Type 1) Semi vegetarians - These 'vegetarians' eat all types of foods in their diet - including meat. However these individuals limit the amount of animal products they consume. I would be considered a semi vegetarian.

Type 2) Lacto vegetarian - Individuals in this group are a step up from the semi vegetarians. They avoid all animal products except for dairy products in their diet.

Type 3) Lacto-ovo vegetarians - This type of vegetarian diet excludes all meat except for dairy and eggs. Not too different from the previous type.

Type 4) Vegans - These are the 'hard-core" vegetarians who avoid all animal products in their diet, such as meats, dairy products, and eggs. The vegan diet rely on lentils, beans, soy products etc..

Now that you know the four types of vegetarian diets, which do you belong to?

There are many definitions and I picked the one above for simplicity reasons, I would look it up on the internet and use the one that feels best to you!

yes there is, you are a hypocrite - congradulations, you are the majority in this nation

Pescetarian.

If you gave up seafood, you would be a lacto-ovo-vegetarian.

ur a pesca vegetarian, by soom peoples standereds ur arent one at all cause u eat fish. fish is icky.

its called a lacto vegetarian. thats what most vegetarians are. if u didnt eat animal by-products (dairy, eggs ect) then u would be a vegan. so just say ur a vegetarian, not a vegan. i know i hate explaining to people about that and how i became a vegetarian and why. it drives me nuts!

You are a ovo lacto pesco vegitatian...ovo meaning egg, lacto, meaning milk, and pesco meaning fish..

Dont let the bad comments get you down. It doesnt really matter what you call yourself....as long as you are happy with yourself.
