Rice milk or soy milk? Which one do you prefer?!

Question:

Rice milk or soy milk? Which one do you prefer?

I've only tried soymilk (and I love it) and wanting to try rice milk. How does it taste? I'm curious.

Answers:
I prefer vanilla soy milk. Rice milk is very similar.

soy milk is by far a batter taste...

I like silk vanilla soy, 8th continent is good but silk is better

personelly .cows milk, and the rice milk stuff. taste like chicken .you should probably stay away from it.

I prefer soy as that is what my household used to drink when my oldest could not have cows milk in the beginning when she was an infant. Rice milk to some is blah, as to where some like it. Only thing that I could suggest is to try the rice milk to test your own taste buds.

rice milk.

Mothers milk is way better. and no humans were harmed while making it.

Soy Milk.

Rice milk is delicious if you heat it a little bit with a cinnamon stick, then add a drizzle of honey.

Soy milk is better to me!!!!

SOY MILK!!!!!!!!

just regular soy milk! WeLL maybe chocolate sometimes.......

It makes cereal come to life!!!!

soy milk taste better

I love soy milk too....AND also curious about rice milk!!~☆

Rice milk is quite watery but it tastes sweet. I like it in smoothies with banana as they go together well. Soya milk is much thicker in consistancy and I find that better on cereals and porridge.

soy milk by far.

rice milk is fine, but it tastes so watered down, almost like skim milk where soy milk has more definintion and taste.

It does not have the depth or rich texture of Soy milk. I use Almond & Hazelnut milks. The health info on soy by products like Soy Milk is pretty negative.
Almond Breeze makes a rich lovely milk.

Rice milk tastes like liquid rice.

They are both great, but I prefer soy to rice. I think you'll find the rice milk to be a little bit more on the watery side than the soy milk. Almond milk would be another great one for you to try that should be pretty readily available.

both are good but i like soy milk

I love both, but I find rice milk easier to drink alone. Otherwise if I'm cooking with it, I prefer soy.

For cooking, I prefer soy. For drinking, nothing tops almond milk. It's the best. Rice milk is ok, but a little less rich than the others.

I don't really like either. They both taste kind of chalky. (But I do eat lots of both rice and tofu!)

I prefer almond milk. Yes, it has a distinctive flavor, but it's a flavor that I like.

Anyway, try several different types of non-dairy milk, and try a few different brands, as well. That's the only way to find out how they taste to you.

(And if it's just that you want something different, not that you're vegan, goats' milk is fairly readily available these days.)

Soy milk tastes MUCH better. I cannot imagine how the companies that only produce rice milk stay in business, because they taste AWFUL! I drink either EdenSoy Unsweetened (rich and creamy, never know it was unsweetened), or West Soy Unsweetened (thinner; my second choice). I've tried three different brands of rice milk (Rice Dream, Lundberg, and Harmony Farms, which went out of business a few years ago), and I couldn't stand ANY of them. Rice Dream was actually SALTY; Lundberg was too sweet for my taste; and Harmony Farms was just awful! (I know I sound like Goldilocks from the 3 Bears here, but I'm being honest)
That said, my cousin loves rice milk and thinks I'm nuts for being on the soymilk side of the equation. (But then, he eats a bunch of other stuff taht I wouldn't touch, so there you go)
Bottom line is: Rice milk is a love-it-or-hate-it deal. Try it if you want, but I doubt you'll like it very much if you already like soymilk.

Soy milk is better!

I don't like rice milk, unless it's cho. You can get used to it b/c buying the mixed rice/soy milk! Soy milk is excellent!!! Try almond, oat, or hazelnut milk too!!
