What is the best daily diet for a vegeterian?!
What is the best daily diet for a vegeterian?
Answers:
What is important is variety. For vegetables and fruits, choose a color variety and 10 servings.
For protein choose a variety of nuts and whole grains and up to 10 servings.Include legumes and soy in this group.
If the vegetarian is a lacto or ovo vegetarian servings of milk and eggs can be substituted for some of the protein servings.
Getting enough protein and complete proteins is the key. A mix or variety is extreemly important.
Drink lots of water.

rice & evrything vegetarian!
There is no 'best' daily diet. You have to use what works to achieve a healthy balance for you, using a wide variety of foods that you enjoy.
Check out this site for the vegetarian food guide rainbow, as well as an explanation of how to use it. http://www.canadian-health-network.ca/se...
I really like this food guide for it's flexibility and recognition that you do not have to get your calcium through only dairy foods.
There is some information here which may be useful : http://www.recipesforvegans.co.uk/vegann...
I agree with the diversity answer-- eat broadly. But I have come to believe that if you want to be truly healthy you need to eat the purest of the pure vegan diet, and that would mean eating as close as nature intended you to eat: raw, ripe, fresh and organic. Tough for those of us who live in the North, but not impossible. (our son has a winter greens garden and we live on Vancouver Island where we had a huge dump of snow... the plants WILL spring back). Green Smoothies are a great way to get your daily nutrients.

Eat as many fresh fruits and vegetables as possible. Cooking vegetables destroys vitamins and enzymes content, so you should try to eat some raw vegetables everyday.
Whole grain products, are a definite must.
Drink approximately 2 litres of water daily. You can increase your overall intake of fluids by drinking herb trees, fruit and vegetable juices, and milk and vegetable milks (coconut, soya, rice milk) and by eating water-rich foods, such as fruits and vegetables.
Avoid processed food, white flour, sugar and convenience or" fast" foods (pre-cooked meals or food in tins, jars and bottles.)
curd rice-with vegetables..the best acc to me.
