it looks kinda sorta like a buffalo from the side. (when lid is on the bowl).

Being a former chef in Canada and having used it so many times the name has come down as a kitchen trade name, it is a vertical food processor, I have used it to make pates, fish mousses and cole slaw.

The name is something that came as a slang in the kitchen and has stayed as kitchen lingo over the years, try and find it under Hobarts list of machines, and you will not find it under that particular name.
