Mandolin Vegetable Slicer?!

Question:

Mandolin Vegetable Slicer?

A while back I saw an Oprah show were she raved about a mandoline that worked great. It fit into it's own container where the sliced food goes. It seem cool. I'm looking for it all over but can't seem to find it or similar. Anyone know what was called or where to find it?

Answers:
Go to Bed Bath and beyond, or go to william sonoma you will find it there ask for a french mandolin.

Or you can buy a chinese slicers which is less expensive and work great too.

good luck to you.

Google "Mandolin Vegetable Slicer" .... you will get a boatload of hits. "Mandolin" is not a trade name. These kinds of slicers are generic kitchen tools and you are not likely to find a European's kitchen without one.

This is a good one:

I bought it ten years ago - still works great!
