Is shrimp fried rice edible after 3 days in the frig?!

Question:

Is shrimp fried rice edible after 3 days in the frig?

My co-workers bought me lunch on saturday from the chinese carryout next door. I put it in the office refrigerator and was off sunday and monday. Now its tuesday, is the rice still good or will eating it make someone ill. I'm not eating it so my co-worker asked if he could have it and when I said it was bad he claimed it was fine.

The rule of thumb in our house is that if it is seafood or fish or anything from a restaurant, it has to be eaten the next day or out it goes.

Better safe than sorry.

Its fine. 3 days aint nothin. Heat it up if you wanna be safe, or just eat it if your not a wuss.

It's ok!

NO! That's grosss!

It is still good, no worries

If its neither of the follwing
- smelly
- soggy
- sour
- discolored

I've eaten it after 5 days--with no ill effects---after that time, it did not have an odor, nor a foul 'test'taste.---BUT, MY FRIG WAS SET ON A VERY COLD SETTING!---BUT,IF IT EITHER "SMELLS A BIT 'OFF' ",or,"TASTES A BIT 'OFF' "---TOSS IT!!!

=) anything passed 3 days I wouldn't touch.. just heat it up.

I wouldn't eat it!! I had shrimp lomein once that was in my office fridge for couple days..I ended up in hosp with food poisoning. Don't take twice to teach me. If I don't eat it next day- I throw it away. Have him sin a disclaimer if he wants it!!!

Yes, it should be just fine. No worries.

Yes ...it will be fine . . ."dampen" the rice and "nuke" it ... it will "re-steam" itself.

then by all means let em have it you did your thing and warned him thats all you can do .but i wouldnt eat it either

I wouldn't eat it, rice and sea food are two of the worst foods for food poisoning, there is a bacteria in rice that multiples after 24 hours at the very least make sure it is absolutely steaming hot right through.

it's still edible.
