Why does a marshmallow grow in the microwave?!

Question:

Why does a marshmallow grow in the microwave?

Answers:
Heat typically causes things to expand. This is very true of air, which marshmallows are full of.

it heats up and exspands. things that heat up expand and things that are cooled contract. the only eception is water =D

Because when the air in the bubbles heat up it expands and makes the bubbles bigger. That's why it 'expands'. I goes back to normal when it cools.

heat causes it to expand

the heat makes it expand..

the heat makes it xpand

becaus the pressure is building up inside of it and so the marshmellow expands.

I think hot air fills the marshmellow
