Is there sugar in watermellon!?

Answers:
yes and no. it contains fruit sugar, fructose. its a natural sugar like the kind found in all fruit. NOT sucrose or glucose but fructose. it's good for you! now you know all you need to know about sugars...sorta.

glucose is blood sugar. sucose is what we call processed sugar and what you need to avoid. but fructose, the stuff in natural honey and fruit is AOK!

Yes--most fruits have pretty high levels of sugar in them (it's a majority of their caloric content).

Duh.

yes theres natural sugars in it.

fruits have natural sugars which you shouldnt worry about unless u eat WAYY too much or have a condition

Yes there is sugar in watermelon and its HEALTHY SUGAR!!!! Unlike artificial sugars that don't give you health benefits, the natural sugars in fruits have a different protein structure and interact differently with the vitamins and minerals you swallow from the fruit. So go ahead and enjoy that healthy watermelon and stay away from processed watermelons and fruits in ready-made containers that are filled with artificial sugars to enhance their flavors.

Why else do you think it's so sweet??

yes. there is naturally occuring sugar calles fructose. it is made by the photosynthisis.

Natural sugars yes,so diabetics need to be careful...My daughter loves it but only eats a small amount I think honey dew has less for them....
