Answers:
You can request a vegetable Korma which in itself is very mild, creamy, and quite sweet, which I'm sure you will enjoy.

Have a great night out :)

Try sticking with a bread called nann. Its delish.

Kormers are mild. Made with coconut. They should be able to do you a veggie one.

Or try paneer. its cheese in batter and almost taste like meat.
Just ask then to make the sauce mild.
Most curry houses will make a dish how you want it, just ask.
Welcome to the world of currys ,.

The great thing about Indian food is they love veggies.....

I am sure you will find a lot on the menu that you can have that is made with beans and veggies.

I like hot food, but Indian spicy food is a bit much for me (which is weird, because I can eat jalapenos like there is no tomorrow). I like Korma's, but they are usually made with chicken. Most of the menu's I have seen show which dishes are hot and spicy, if in doubt ask.

Be open that you have not had a lot of Indian food, and are not crazy about spicy, most people love to share their knowledge, and that would be a great ice breaker to get the conversation rolling.

Korma is the mildest dish ther. In fact, it's made with yoghurt, not spices, so you should be ok. Look for korma on the menu and order a veggie korma or something (maybe even a prawn korma? Some veggies eat prawns).

Otherwise just ask the staff for a veggie korma and they'll knock something up for you!

There are a lot of non spicy veggie foods available in India. I am an Indian and I personally dont have spicy food myself. Indian cuisine is very very large and it is not possible to elaborate all the dishes available in India. You can browse the net for Indian veg dishes and rate them yourself by going through the ingredients.
