Where would potatoes go on the food pyramid?!

Question:

Where would potatoes go on the food pyramid?

Answers:
It would go under breads which is the Top. Potato actualy does not count as your 5-a-day vegetables because it is a starch. It does however have some vitamins and minerals. Potatos have a high glycymic index which will make your blood sugar soar, unless you combine it with low-glycemic foods. The skin of a potato is very nutritious and should be eaten, if you don't its just like eating white bread, which is not good for your body.

If its junky potatos such as fries, it goes on the top.

Vegetables!

On the VERY top.

Starches

Potatoes are a starch, therefore they are included within the grains group, or at the bottom of the pyramid.

Starch. Its a tuber. It doesn't count as a vegetable.

grain group

Carbohydrates. Same group as the breads, grains, cereals, rice, etc.

Potatoes would be with vegatables, unless there is a starch category. Because if there is then they would go there.

Its a starch, so I imagine in the bread group

just a question...seriouslyy where do u come up with these questions..they are sooooooo RANDOM!! lol.tehe. anyways...to answer the question: NO IDEA!! sorii!!!!
