What is your favorite healthy dinner?!

Question:

What is your favorite healthy dinner?

Answers:
I usually start with home made soup- lentil, tomato, chicken noodle etc.

A small piece of grilled steak or skinless chicken with boiled vegs like broccoli or Brussels sprouts as a side dish.

The boiled vegs can be replaced with green beans or artichokes or leek steamed and cooked with a little olive oil.

A big bowl of mixed greens and tomato salad with a little olive oil, garlic and lemon juice mix dressing.

A big glass of water.

I like baked Chicken and mushrooms with fresh green beans and olive oil and garlic.

Orange roughy, brown rice with a little lemon squeezed over it and steamed veggies (also with lemon) - orange roughy aka "poor man's lobster" is no joke! Yum!

Thai tofu skewers with mixed stir-fried veggies and rice.

fish sticks, mashed potatoes and gravy, and mac and cheese

Italian food cooked the traditional way. My Mum's Italian and she makes the most amazing dishes, I try but it doesn't always work out. Lots of organic vegetables and things, lightly cooked so they retain all the flavour.

pork chops and sweet potato triangles with breadcrumbs and ground paprika and black pepper in the bread crumbs

I make a stir frye with broccoli ,onions, water chestnuts,
carrots, and tofu its good filling and nutricious.
I use soy sauce and I fry it in either evo or sesame oil.

I make a chicken and wild rice soup. I use Pam instead of butter to cook the vegetables and use fat free half 'n half instead of heavy cream. It actually tastes better the second day and is great to eat with a crusty loaf of bread.

beans,carrot,apple juice,mash potato's

grilled salmon, cous cous, and a salad or veggies. (asparagus, brocoli)

I like t o stir fry chicken in a wok when ready, place it on a green romaine salad with chunky tomatoes and avocados. Sprinkle with fetta cheese. Use vinagrette dressing and include a side of rice, a glass of wine and a glass of ice water. all food groups are taken care of plus the glass of wine in good for your bloodflow and preventative of cholesterol build up. And water, of course is good all the time.

Diced tomatoes, avocados, vegetarian Italian sausage and pasta tossed with basil, balsamic vinegar, thinly sliced red onion, salt and pepper. Accompanied by good bread and better wine.

Steamed halibut with borlotti beans cooked with rosemary and thyme with a twist of lemon and plenty of fresh black pepper

Raisin Bran with Skim Milk if I'm tired and Lazy....

Beans and Rice if I'm in a hurry (One pack of boil in bag brown rice, one can of Spicy Chili Beans mixed after the rice is cooked, low fat, high fiber )

Stir Fry if I'm not (1/2 pound of beef fajita stips, 1 each red pepper, green pepper, Onion cut in strips, and "stir fried" with a little bit of olive oil....add a sesame ginger dressing when its almost done, serve over rice - low fat, lots of veggies)

salmon, baked in lemon juice, herbs. served with new potatoes, broccoli and corn

dessert would be chopped strawberries, blueberries and bananas with greek yogurt
