Why does milk chocolate melt faster than dark chocolate?!

Question:

Why does milk chocolate melt faster than dark chocolate?

I bought some York Peppermint Patties (dark chocolate) and some Kit Kats and the Kit Kats (milk chocolate) started melting quickly but the YPPs stayed solid. Why is that?

Answers:
the milk chocolate has more mild solids in it as apposed to the dark that has a higher concentration of cocoa and less sugar. Milk choclate has a lot of "extra" things added to it

It could be because of the amount of sugar used to make them, but Im really not sure.

Milk chocolate has a higher fat content than dark chocoalte.

The YPP's have a coating on them to keep them from melting quickly. Kit Kats don't. It has nothing to do with the chocolate itself.

there is more fat and sugar in milk choc. dark choc has less, and higher in cocoa beans

bcuz milk chocalte iz milky n u probably left it in da sun
