What is the difference between cow milk Mozzarella and Buffalo Mozzarella?!

Question:

What is the difference between cow milk Mozzarella and Buffalo Mozzarella?

I saw the different types at the HEB supermarket and I needed the difference just because.

Answers:
I think that mozzarella is supposed to be made from buffalo milk, as it originally was, but cow milk is used as a substitute

One's made with cow milk and the other with buffalo milk. Buffalo dairy is usually lower fat and with a little more complex flavor, and is probably more expensive. Unless you particularly want to support buffalo farming, which is slightly more sustainable, there's no reason to get buffalo.

The milk it is made from - buffalo mozzarella is actually made from buffalo milk and is a slightly saltier and more flavorful cheese.

I cant tell you but if you look up the different kinds and compare them you might be able to tell the difference

Cow milk mozzarella is made from cows milk, and buffalllo milk mozzarella is made from buffallo milk!

Buffallo mozzarella is now being produced in Fife (Scotland).

buffalo mozz is made rom buffalo milk where as cow mozzerella comes from a cow's milk.

buffalo mozzerella is sooooo much tastier and is MUCH richer. It's also a pain in the butt to find.

if you do find it , get it and compare it for yourself. i assure you you'll pick buffalo over cow any time.

Actually it's water buffalo, and not the great american plains buffalo. But any way, that's how the Itailians near central Italy made it initially. But everyone else that replied is correct about the flavor and texture which is why of course it's more expensive.
Hope you give it try.
