Does anyone have a good recipe for perogie casserole?!

Question:

Does anyone have a good recipe for perogie casserole?

I like the ones that have sharp cheddar in them. Im not a big fan of onions. I did have a good one once that used Yukon Gold potatoes.

Answers:
I guess you can leave out the onions, but I couldnt find a recipe without them

PIEROGI CASSEROLE

1 package (8 ounce) wide noodles
3 medium chopped sauted onions in 1/2 pound butter
1/4 pound sharp or cheddar cheese
7 potatoes

Cook noodles 8 minutes. Saute onions in butter. Prepare potatoes as mashed potatoes. Melt cheese in potatoes. Spread potatoes in a casserole dish. Cover potatoes with noodles. Pour onions in butter over entire top. Bake 15 minutes at 375.

15 lasagna noodles
2 cups cottage cheese
1 egg
1/8 tsp. onion salt
1 cup sharp cheddar cheese
2 cups mashed potatoes
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. onion salt
1 cup margarine (scant)
Cook noodles; drain and towel dry. Mix cottage cheese, egg and onion salt. Spread over a layer of noodles in a 9x13" pan. Cover with layer of noodles. Mix potatoes, salt, pepper, and grated cheese. Spread over second layer of noodles. Top with third layer of noodles. Melt margarine and sauté onion. Spread over top layer of noodles. Bake 30 minutes at 350° F. covered. Let stand 10 minutes before cutting. Serve with sour cream.

.

I do a casserole that uses store bought perogies

Boil a package of frozen perogies until they float, then drain and rinse with cold water. slice kielbasa (polish sausage) into rounds and sear in a skillet (I do it with onion, but you could not if you prefer). set aside. wash a head of kale really well, chop and boil until tender. layer everything in a buttered casserole dish and top with either Munster (*Sp?) or sharp cheddar cheese. place under broiler until warmed through and slightly browned.
