Why is it healthier to steam vegetables instead of boiling them?!

Question:

Why is it healthier to steam vegetables instead of boiling them?

Thank you!

Answers:
When you boil them, water-soluble nutrients seep into the water and are dumped down the drain. Steaming uses less water, so it keeps more of the nutrients in the food.

coz when boiling we add water to the veg that take out the nutrients contents while steaming doesnot

boiling takes the nutrients out of the veggie (especially over boiling)

Because when you boil them, many of the nutrients are going into the water which you throw out. If you can't steam, use as little water as possible to heat the vegetables.

it keeps all nutrients intact, instead of leeching them into the water.

the people on Food Network have said that both of those cooking methods remove some of the nutrients from the food, so I don't really understand how either of those methods could be considered healthier than the other. They recommend sauteeing, stir frying or roasting...at least the shows I watch say that....

Steaming vegetables is healthier than boiling them because all of the nutrients from the vegetables are not lost in the boiling water. And I think they also taste better. :)

whats the diffence

steaming veggies doesn't take as much of the nutrients out of them as boiling them. and they taste a lot better.

stemming preserve the flavor and the nutrients. where as boiling ,boil out the flavor and the nutrients.
