Whats the best type of grill pan, griddle?!

Question:

Whats the best type of grill pan, griddle?

I am looking at cast iron versus non-stick steel type for use on a hob. Really not sure what gives the best result?

Answers:
hi there, cast iron , they last much longer, and are better value for money in the long run

Non-stick griddle pan

We've got a George Forman lean mean fat reducing grilling machine (lol thats its name) It doesn't go on your hob though it's separate......you can do everything on it from meat and chicken to vegetables....it come with two long tubs that sit at the bottom underneath the grill and catch all the fat of the food...I'd recommend it you can get them from Argos and any large supermarket like Asda and Tesco!!!

I would go for the cast iron. They are more hard wearing.

Definitely cast iron. Conducts heat better and gets much hotter.
