Are sweet cherries white or yellow?!

Question:

Are sweet cherries white or yellow?

My roommate insists that they are white, while I know from seeing for myself that they are yellow. Or perhaps there are different varieties, and we're both correct?

Answers:
you're both right. white, yellow, and red are different varieties of cherries and they all ripen at different times and are available at different times of the year. white is most rare and therefore, more expensive.

I'm not sure, but the only ripe cherries I've ever seen are varied shades of red.

the sweet ones r yellow

I'm pretty sure cherries can be white, yellow, and red[odviously]

White Cherries are the best. Although they are costly, but unlike regular cherries, every single one is edible. (oh yeah they are yellow and speckled with red)
