BBQ'd Grilled Salmon?!

Question:

BBQ'd Grilled Salmon?

I would like to cook some Salmon on the grill tonight. Instead of the usual garlic/lemon/butter sauce, does anyone out there have a different twist to cooking grilled salmon ?

Answers:
Rub the Salmon with olive oil, sprinkle with; sea salt, fresh cracked pepper, fresh grated Parmesan cheese and good paprika. Put some wood chips on (I prefer pecan) and smoke to mid rare. Serve with salad and a nice Pinot Grigio.

Ciao.

I've had it brushed with a very thin layer of mayonnaise that was mixed with a bit of mustard, the theory being that it crusts up a little on the outside and seals in the moisture - it was pretty good. A brushing of light olive oil would be a close second, with flavorings of your choice like fresh cracked black pepper.

I like dill seasoning on just about anything, but it's really good on salmon. You generally need a liquid to go with it to help spread it evenly, so if you're staying away from lemon and/or butter entirely, you could try olive oil. Use as much or as little dill as you like, I promise you won't be disappointed!!

Yes but its going to be too late today. Cedar Plank Salmon, you buy untreated cedar shingles, soak them in water for one hour. Take the salmon, place skin side down on the soaked cedar plank. Use Salt, pepper and lemon pepper on the salmon. Place plank on a hot grill, it will beging smoking after a few minutes, at 20 minutes remove the planks, with the Salmon on them, and serve. The cedar smoke imparts a wonderful flavor on the salmon and its a great meal.
