My wife made a beef stew for my 12 month old baby.?!

Question:

My wife made a beef stew for my 12 month old baby.?

It was cooked twice then frozen is it alright to reheat again or should it all be binned??

Answers:
bin it

I wouldn't take a chance on it if I were you

I would say toss it. It's never good to heat and refreeze food more than once.

bin it!!!!

You should never reheat food more than once.

Best not to take chances with babies, but it's probably safe enough for the adults.

Bin it

No.!! Bin it.

A there is meat concerned. Once it is cooked then frozen then whatever is left over should be binned.

bin it. its ok eating re-heated food but you can't eat re-heat food that has been re-heated for the second time cas of the bacteria build up on the food.

its ok if it hasnt be heated since being frozen,in future when the food is made and minced freeze it in ice cube boxes then transfer to small food bags.then just enough is taken from the freezer each time.no reheats and no waste xx

Was it cooked, fridge, cooked, freezer? That's fine.

Or frozen raw, cooked, fridge, cooked, frozen? That's fine.

If it was cooked, frozen, then reheated it should just go into the fridge and be used up.

As long as what was cooked had no contact with the babies mouth or your wifes mouth before it was frozen and stored it shouldn't be a problem. Once the food has been eaten bacteria grows from that, so if it was food the baby didn't finish eating (that was in a bowl that you were feeding the baby from)was re-frozen I'd throw it away.

I think u should throw it away

get rid and your wife should know better!she should cook a meal and feed the child or cook a batch, put it into dishes you can buy in your pound shop(pack of 5) and then freeze it.She can then defrost them when she needs them.

Bin it! don't upset the tiny tum

I would recommend trashing the leftovers. Babies systems can extra sensitive. Mom and dad can probably get away with one more meal if you don't have any problems with your stomach generally.

bin it. it has food poisoning bacteria. that can kill the child.

Cook once then freeze.
Cook twice then bin the left overs - even for adults.

only one way to find out

As long as it is defrosted in the fridge and only reheated once it should be safe

No problem, after thawing it is returned to the germ free condition it was in when you froze it. best reheated in the microwave, but be careful of the teperature before giving it to the baby

it should be fine :) just be sure when you heat it , it comes to a temperature of 165 for at least 15 seconds, this will ensure that any trace of beacteria will be killed :) in school we reheated soups 3 or 4 times, and none of us, or the customers got sick :)

I do not think it is okay to feed that to a baby whose immune system would be compromised compared to an adult.
