Answers:
Cola!

It used to be made with the kola nut, which grows on trees, but now is pretty much made with artificial flavors.

This is from Wikipedia: The flavour of individual colas are always kept a secret, with the Coca-Cola recipe stored in a closely guarded safe. The main ingredients in a generic coke's base generally comes from a mixture of citrus flavorings such as orange, lime and lemon and spices such as cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla. The name comes from the kola nuts that were originally used in early soft drinks as the source of caffeine.

Cola drinks may be sweetened with sugar, high fructose corn syrup, stevia or an artificial sweetener depending on product and market. Caffeine-free cola drinks are also available.

The kola nut has a bitter flavor and caffeine content, and is chewed in many West African cultures, individually or in a group setting. It is often used ceremonially, presented to tribal chiefs or presented to guests. Chewing kola nut can ease hunger pangs. Frequent chewing of the kola nut can also lead to stained teeth. Among the urban youth of West Africa, kola nut is becoming less popular.

Kola was originally used to make cola soft drinks, though today most of these mass-produced beverages use artificial flavourings. Some exceptions are Barr's Red Kola, Harboe Original Taste Cola, Foxon Park Kola, Blue Sky Organic Cola, Sprecher's Puma Kola, and Cricket Cola, the latter being made from kola nuts and green tea. In 2007, United Kingdom supermarket Tesco introduced an American Premium Cola in that uses kola nuts, spices and vanilla.

Outside of Africa, some species are cultivated for their nuts in Indonesia, Brazil, Jamaica and elsewhere in the humid tropics.

They are both cola flavored. Pepsi has slightly more vanilla.

Note: Dr. Pepper was once made from prunes.

wow so true! i have never thought of that......hmmm....i have no clue! Good question....

It's Cola-flavored.

i dont really know but i would like to give a silly answer if that is okay? coke is the taste flavor of muddy water and pepsi is the taste of heavenly splendor. okay, not silly but stupid. however pepsi is really the bomb and helps to cheer me up
they do not taste the same.

I believe there is some caramel-type flavoring in them

its cola from the cola bean

pepsi and coke are both cola flavored...cola is a nut :o)

Cola

its flavor is cola -- named after the original source of caffine for colas -- the kola nut.

The actual recipie is closely guarded. Two people at Coke were arrested for trying to sell the formula to some people at Pepsi. The Pepsi people called the FBI and they were busted.

I know that three ingredients are Kola nut, Vanilla, and caramel.
