Did anyone have a more depressing tea tonight than me ?!

Did anyone have a more depressing tea tonight than me ?

A bag of noodles, 3 days overdue, microwaved with a squirt of tomato ketchup, a sprinkling of Chip Spice and a knob of marge. Had to force it down my throat.

I was at work at tea time and im not hungry now ive finished. Got a bad headache so i guess it will be 2 painkillers and a glass of water.

what on earth possessed you? Could you not get a take-out? I had quiche - it was OK, not depressing. I had to eat it quickly.

I had a home made corned beef pastie.....

erm any noodles left...?

you should send that recipe to the food program.
I'm sure its an original.

Nothing at all was my tea

I appear to have missed out completely, and at half 12 it's a bit late I guess

Fray bentos pie. Can't get worse than that. I didn't eat that tonight, just worse possible tea. Apart from the ASDA copy of the fray bentos pie.

yeah, mine had no milk, hehe

first night without my partner in nine months, ping duck chow mein, sure it was still cold in the middle, shoved it round the plate of few times then fed it to the dog. Think I'll get a glass of wine instead. :-(

That does sound depressing! Nope i have a nice dinner.. pasta and veg :)

I had an empire biscuit. I work evenings and was too tired to even have a cup of tea with it!

noodles and tomatoe source are lovely

chicken sandwich...it was ok...just.

I had a plate 'full' of chips, sausages (big thick pork ones!) beans and an egg, with two buttered teacakes. That was at 7pm. It's now 12:45am, and I'm still bloated. I'm about to go for a walk. Who knows, I might even get myself a curry. That's how to spend an evening.

You would have been better off eating some toast, and throwing that that you ate in the bin.

Get some food stamps like me and have a pizza it's free baby but not to the tax payers, keep paying your taxes so I can keep eating foe free

You'd be better having a big cook up every Sunday and freezing all the portions for the week. Pull each one out of the freezer, bung it into microwave and voila, halfway decent food. Boil fresh veg every mealtime to eat with it. They fill you up and are good for you!

Buy a whole chicken with your week's budget (cooked or cook it yourself) put into bags (enough for meals for week) to freeze then you can fry it with curry sauce & serve on rice, eat in sandwiches or with veggies & a jacket spud, or with chips, pasta & salad etc. Noodles are bad for you, so many people ie from eating too many noodles, seriously. Try wholewheat spaghetti, it's more filling and better for you. Brown rice too.

:-) Good luck. I've been thru times when I cooked for my husband and ate whatever he left coz we were broke, used my daughters milk to drink & give myself nutrician. It IS depressing and you're attracted to eating crap to cheer yourself up. Be smart with your dough. Not all of us have access to benefits/dole money.
