What should I eat for breakfast?
I am SO hungry.... but I'm trying to watch my weight. I'm seriously craving eggs, but I brought a cereal bar to work with me. Are eggs really THAT bad??? They tend to fill me up and I like that. (Also, they're really cheap at our campus cafe!)

Eggs aren't as bad as their reputation. 3-4 grams of fat per egg, some cholesterol, but a ton of protein. Figure if you had two eggs, factoring in the butter, you're probably looking at a 10-12 grams of fat breakfast. That's actually not bad. The RDA for fat for non-dieters is 60 grams. That gives you plenty of room for lunch, snacks, and dinner. So go for the eggs and save the cereal bar for a morning snack!

A soft boiled egg or a one egg omelet and 2 whole wheat toast (no butter), glass of low fat milk is good for you. You need the protein - if you are on campus it means you are studying and need to be alert and therefore don't have time to be hungry.
Whole grain is good to start the day, try porridge, but not with honey as when u heat it apparanely it can cause crystals in ur kidneys!! or musli with dried fruit, eggs are good cos thnk they have low levels of zinc in, bu u want free range not battery farmed. bannanas are very good to start ur day, eespecially if ur feeling depressed. and drink plenty of water as it helps u to process everything ur takn in?
This may be a little time consuming, but it's worth your try. I was always hungry too, until I was introduced to this meal last Christmas:
You boil organic oats (2 parts water/1part oats) together with a handful of dry or fresh cranberries (5min.) you add around 10 dark chocolate morsels (Ghirardelli 60% coco morsels). This will keep you well past noon, eating at 7:30am! And you won't crave sweets! So you're getting fiber, vitamin C, antioxidants, etc.
i'm trying to watch my weight also...unfortunately, I keep watching the scale to UP. Try hard boiled eggs (egg lands best Omega 3) with lo-carb whole wheat toast (no butter) and turkey sausage. drink plenty water too...good luck :)

If taken in moderation and the way it cooked, eggs are not bad if your cholesterol levels are normal.
Actually, it is the yellow part that contains most of the fats. I've read that the boiled egg or any type of eggs is a part of a healthy lifestyle (all things or even food are good when taken in moderation). It says that it lowers blood cholesterol and a good source of protein too. The USDA notes that a person must, however, limit intake of 10 eggs per week.
I suggest that if you cook eggs or buy some in your canteen, make sure it is boiled or poached. It is safer to eat too when it is boiled (less calories and fat) to avoid any disease of salmonella (if any).
A cereal bar too is good but you shouldn't rely on that since it contains a large amount of sugar and fat (well, it depends on the variety). I suggest that you need to retrain your buds (palate) and discover more of the healthy breakfast.
I can recommend lots of good breakfast and I have a food diary wherein I keep my day-to-day meals prepared beforehand- so I know what I should be eating for each day.

Bran muffin, fresh sliced fruit and cottage cheese

Have some steel cut oatmeal mixed with some fresh berries and almonds. This fills me up for hours!! I have noticed I have lost weight by eating this every morning
old fashioned oatmeal with honey, raisins and chopped walnuts. add a dash of cinnamon and you're set!
