With absolutely no food at all, you can go for about 2 weeks before your body shuts down completely and death occurs. The body stores fat for this reason, in case of a food shortage the body will still be able to function long enough to find more food. Once the fat stores are depleted the body will begin to break down muscle tissue and use that for energy. If you go much beyond that, vital organs begin shutting down in order to give as much energy as possible to the heart, lungs and brain.

Water, on the other hand, you absolutely must have regularly. Three days is about the longest you could go without water assuming you started out well hydrated to begin with. Dehydration is quite an unpleasant way to die. The thirst at first is tolerable, then it becomes your mind's sole focus. After a day and a half or so your tongue will begin to swell, you'll stop salivating and you'll no longer sweat. Since you can't sweat to cool yourself, assuming you're in a warm environment, you'll begin to cook -- quite literally. Dehydration also causes kidney failure, liver damage and shrinking of the brain. Toward the end you'll begin experiencing hallucinations, both auditory and visual, and eventually you'll start to black out. Death occurs not far after these symptoms unless water is immediately available.

Severe dehydration. If you're outside in the heat for a significant amount of time, death or a coma. You'd probably pass out.

you will faint if you dont havw watter, but you can go 2 weeks without food. after youve lost 5% of your watter you feel thirsty 12% you faint anything higher than about 15% lost you die.

Definitely not recommended. You would do severe damage to your kidneys first because of severe dehydration, then liver, you would become sick and begin to vomit (if you still have anything in your system) and eventually pass out (and that's just from the dehydration). After a couple of days you would become very weak, and vulnerable to infection and sickness, ultimately worsening your condition. Not to mention after a day or so your mind would constantly nagging you about food and drink, progressively getting worse until you are thinking about it constantly. Why are you asking about this? Are you desperate to lose weight or something? Diet doesn't do nearly as much as exercise. I recommend joining a local gym, or jogging in the morning, just small things that you can do daily for 30mins to an hour. In time you will see a much better impact than just diet alone, or diet pills, starvation diets ect. For maximum results though combining diet and exercise it the best choice. (though NOT starvation diets!!!). Make the right choice. Do it for your own good.

You die. You can go without food for a long time, but you need fluid in your body since you are made up of almost 80 percent water.

You become very hungry.
Going without food isn't as bad as going without fluids (water). You can last about 14 days without food, about 7 without fluids.
The organs start to shut done (kidneys, liver, and such) and die. As they go, so goes you, only slowly and painfully.

You can go without food, but you will be extremely weak. You can not go without water. You would most likely perish.

You'll become very fragile, hungry, dehydrated, and your health will become critical.

some say that you can live off of your own body fat, and that may be true, but it will not make you lose weight, it will only deprive your body of the nutrients it needs from the food and water. It can really mess up your body, inside and out.
It not only messed with your kidneys, but it can mess up your stomache ( speaking from expieriance) Please do not do that, it isnt worth it, trust me!

Well basically your body uses up any fat deposits and your internal organs start shutting down.
