What are some foods that will last all day that don't require a refrigerator?!

Question:

What are some foods that will last all day that don't require a refrigerator?

A couple times a week, I work at both my jobs in one day (16 hours) and I don't have time in between to go home and grab food. What are some HEALTHY foods and snacks that will last from 8am to midnight. Something for lunch at 12 and supper at about 9pm and snacks all in between.

Answers:
Sugar free pudding cups. Some types of hearty fruits or vegetables, as long as you don't keep them smooshed in a plastic bag. Jerky of all types. Trail mix, granola bars, that sort of thing.

As far as a "supper" type application, consider some type of pickled salad, a meddley of various pickled vegetables and fruits. The pickling process will keep the salad safe to eat.

trail mix... power bars....fruits, carrots

Fruit or granola bars were the first thing that came to my mind. You can also try dry fruit like nuts, raisins.

Fruits and veggies. energy bars, chex mix, chips

Canned soups by Healthy Choice. Slim Fast snack packs. Water

apple sauce cups, nuts, healthy crackers, fruit. I'd stay away from dairy products like yogurt or hard boiled eggs.... those items need to be refrigerated.

One easy dish is rice. A wise investment is an electric rice cooker. You can prepare rice in the electric rice cooker and reheat the rice as you need it on those tiring long work days. You can add sardines in olive oil on top of the rice. The can of sardines is less than $1.00 at a 99 cents store.

Get some Hongkong style buns. Usually they stay fresh for a whole day. They come in many different tastes; With meat or without meat; sweet or salty..... So you don't have to eat the same thing for every meal in a day.
