Healthy foods?!

Question:

Healthy foods?

I wanna eat mainly fruits and vegatables but maybe i don't have enough variety cuz i don't wanna eat the same thing each day and get sick of it. What i usually will buy is: Apples, mangos, watermelon, kiwi, apricot, mushrooms, cucumber, celery, zuchinni, squash. I need more choices, any ideas???

I get strawberries and bananas too. Ok, but aren't potatoes bad cuz they got carbs or something like how bread and pasta is bad for you? And for it to be healthy, doesn't cooking take some of that healthiness away and make it a little bad for you? I want the least calories possible

As less funny as his lil rhyme was, go to the shop, the variety u need is right there, apparently the nutritionist recommends a variety of colours. Meat is healthy too.

potaotes - you can cook them or fry thema nd they dont even taste like a vegetable. Also you should get sweet/sourish fruits i.e strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries. Grapes are also good because they are really smallish and you just pop them into your mouth and before you know it they are gone. Bananas - buy the small ones so it seems like you eat less. (You do eat less - but along with maybe a couple of strawberries it would make a portin.)Dont go for pears. I dont really like them because they feel in between crunchy and snootha nd its weird. Also have oranges(you can guess I love sour stuff. Hope you like it too!) Good luck with your healthyness scheme or whatever it is:)

If you are switching to a vegetarian diet also consider these choices. Nuts (especially almonds) they are high in protein and healthy fats (monounsaturated). Have some strawberries or raspberries which are full of soluble fiber which will keep you feeling full longer. Try to incorporate some cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli, they are more densely packed with minerals and nutrients than almost any other food (saute in olive oil with some garlic and spinach). I also like eggplant, sliced and grilled in a little olive oil with garlic. If you have a blender, mix an orange banana, strawberries and some ice and milk (optional) for a great summer smothie - frozen strawberries work well. You may also consider getting some multi vitamins to supplement the minerals you will be missing by eliminating meat from your diet. It's OK to eat some carbohydrates. Carbs are an energy source so don't exclude them entirely just make sure you make healthy choices such as whole grain bread. Don't make your diet too restrictive or you 'll get bored and won't stich with it.
