Does chicken contain red jelly?!

Question:

Does chicken contain red jelly?

I've been served chicken wings that when bitten into oozed red liquid. When questioning the red I was informed it was red jelly that all chicken contains. Am I being fobbed off and actually ate uncooked chicken or does this red myth exist.

Answers:
that red liquid is blood because the chicken is undercooked. Yes, they contain jelly, but that sits at the bottom of the chicken once it is roasted and looks like jelly, not like red ooze.

sounds like you were eating undercooked chicken, I'm surprised that you didn't get bad food poisoning!

only if the chicken ate red jelly!~

You've been suckered in to eating undercooked chicken.

You have been conned. It was definitely undercooked.

No doubt about it.

Salmonella in it's purest form.

Chickens do not contain jelly. If you get chicken wings that ooze anything red they are undercooked...... simple as that.

You get wings like this complain. It is undercooked chicken no ifs ands or buts. The guy who told you this.... go to town about it as he was not telling you the truth. Actually he was making a fool of you and deserves what he gets.

You are being fobbed off - that chicken was not properly cooked. All chickens contain the possibility of red jelly, as does all meat. Rare beef is good, rare chicken is dangerous.

Hi you were being fobbed off chicken needs at least 35 minuits cooking for wings 45 for thinhs and drum sticks and at least an hour for awhole chicken and yes you could get food poisoning

Under cooked chicken i'm afraid.

I hope your tummy has recovered! the only red jelly there should be is strawberry flavoured and served with ice cream. undercooked chicken can make you very sick!!!!!

Please Please do not eat chicken like this. All chicken juices should run clear if the chicken is cooked properly.
