That is Chili's Awesome Blossom (deep fried onion appetizer).

I'm glad I don't like them anyhow. What are your thoughts about that shocking calorie and fat count?

They report it as one serving.

so 67% of the calories are fat calories and you have enough sodium for 3 days (2,000 mg/day).

Also, add the calories and sodium from the dipping sauce you've easily had enough calories for a day and a half worth of food.

However, people don't eat the whole thing themselves. It's usually shared. Hopefully among 10 people, I hope.... lol.

No way is that one serving... It may be one order, but not one serving.

It consists of more than my daily allowed intake. Crazy!!!

Gimme two of 'em!

that's if you ate the whole thing!!!! not likely :)

Unbelievable! No wonder Americans who eat a lot of junk food are so fat.

ahh that's so muchhh!!

this is why americans are fat.

Well our culture is very cavalier about food.

The people who are concerned would most likely not eat one anyway.

The idiots who consider thinking about healthy food as "sissy" or stupid wouldn't care.

The small minority who might be dissuaded from eating it based on nutritional information are being shafted by the restaurant lobby, who is fighting tooth and nail against having to divulge just this type of information. They want you to focus on the yumminess and keep lining their pockets in ignorance.

I think it's absolutely obscene.

I could never eat that whole thing...I would either vomit or have a gallbladder attack, or both.
Does that also include that crappy horseradish dip in the middle? Yech.

The sodium content....whoaaaa....scary.

Thats quite frightening.

=]

Wow......that's um.....disturbing.
