How many cookbooks do you own? and how many do you actually use?!

Question:

How many cookbooks do you own? and how many do you actually use?

I am looking around my kitchen and have counted at least 200 and there are some hiding behind things I am sure and I was curious how many cookbooks do you own and how many do you actually use.....I only use 5 on a regular basis. BUT, I love my cookbooks!

Answers:
I had more than 400 cookbooks and booklets (like those things at the grocery store) and am cutting my collection in half this month for my sister's garage sale. I actually like to read recipes, so even if I don't make anything, I enjoy them. I have made at least one recipe out of every cookbook, but not out of all the booklets. I have too much dessert stuff and only make one dessert a week. I particularly like the Taste of Home cookbooks.

I regularly use about 10 cookbooks. It's so fun to find others who love cookbooks! We are a pathetic bunch, but we eat good.

i recently reduced my collection of cookbooks from about 100 to 10. i only refer to two and my own collection of recipes.

As far as I know, I only have three. The Nelson's family cookbook (Nelson is my mom's maiden name.), The kid's cookbook, and the Italian cookbook, which we never use. Too fancy, usually.

I love cookbook also....I have about 200 as well....but when I want a recipe, I go to the Internet and do a search.

My mom passed away 3 years ago. I am an only child so I got all her stuff, including about 100 cookbooks.

I also collect cookbooks and have about 300 of my own.
So, 400.

I use about 20 of them on a regular basis.

Actually, I own approximately 150 cookbooks, however since the advent of the internet, they are currently gathering dust! If I am interested in finding a particular recipe I just plug the name of the recipe into a search engine and voila, I have many to choose from. Also, I find it is easier, and I can get a very extensive selection, if I just type the ingredients I am interested in working with into a search engine and include the keyword "recipe"! It's like having a global cookbook at your fingertips.

Anyone interested in buying a cookbook collection? Cheap!

we also have tons of recipe books, but we only use one - but we dont even use it for recipes, it has an amazing conversion chart in the back. :) when i need recipes, i use allrecipes.com

My husband and I own at least 100. We only use a few of our favorites, but I love them and we keep buying them!!!

I only have 4. I have used them so much during the years that they are falling apart, some have cake batter on them, etc.. but now with the internet, I have found so many wonderful recipes that I really don't buy the books anymore other than "The Sopranos" cookbook. Great Italian recipes in there from the show.

hi! i have 7 of them and i use them all a couple of them my mom passed down to me .ive been a cook from new orleans for 16 yrs but you can always turn to a great cook book to get inspiration and new ideas

I HAVE GIVEN SOME AWAY, I HAVE ABOUT40, I DO USE ABOUT 10, FOR INFO, BUT I ALSO LOVE MY COOKBOOKS NAMASTE

I only have 39, I use 3 on a regular basis but I take them all down at least a couple times a year to look for ideas. Mind you I really only have room for about 4. I love mine too, my best one yet is called "Get Saucy" I kept borrowing it from the library so I went and bought it to save on late fees.
