Hotdogs. how -to..?!

Question:

Hotdogs. how -to..?

how do you boil hot dogs? what temperature? how long?

Answers:
Hot dogs are basically already cooked. Put them in a pot with water...let the water boil...then turn off the heat and let them sit there for a while.
Boiling isn't the best way to make hot dogs, IMO. Fry 'em up with a little butter...make sure to make some little cuts on the side of the hot dog so it doesn't explode when you cook them in a pan.

You're kidding, right? Hot dogs are fully cooked. You just boil them for a few minutes until they're heated thru.

Get the water boiling and throw them in for a couple of minutes. Really, it's that easy!

Most hotdogs are precooked, so you really just want to boil them til they're heated through. We usually boil ours til they begin to split, then you have a "trough" to put the toppings in...less stuff winds up in your lap while trying to eat them that way.

Bring water to a boil (212 degrees F, 100 degrees C(at sea level)) in a sauce pan. Place hotdogs in water and cook for about 20 minutes. Take the hotdogs out of the water and enjoy. Note: Please do not use you hands to take the hotdogs out of the water as it could cause serious burns. Use a fork or pair of tongs. Goodluck!

you dont totally cover the hotdogs with water just cover the bottom of the pan.you are steaming the hotdogs(because steam is hotter than the water would be)put the lid over the pot or pan.it should take 5 to 10 minutes (but no more than 10) and turn the stove top to high.

Ummmm, well, boiling is pretty much always the same temperature, Since most hotdogs are already cooked all you have to do is heat them up, depending on how many you are cooking, it should only take about 5 minutes or so after the water begins to boil. Frying hotdogs is a good way to cook them too and it makes them taste really good, you can microwave them, it only takes about 30 seconds per hotdog, they are ok that way, a lot faster, but grilling, boiling or even steaming is really the way to go.

they come fully cooked the reason for boiling them is to heat them you could microwave them or fry them or bake them just to heat them through. hope i helped
