Is it ok to eat an avocado every day?
i've recently got a thing about eating avocados and could happily eat one every day but as they contain a lot of fat, do you think this is a good thing? i mean, i know it's good fat and i really don't eat many other fatty foods...so perhaps it's ok for me? any thoughts?

There is no way to OD on avocado's. they are perfectly healthy and 1 a day would be only benificial to your body. of course, HOW you eat them is the problem. by themselves you have no problem, with dipping sauces, your going to gain weight. just like salads, they are only good for you when you leave the dressing off.
They are good for you but high in calories and fat, eat in moderation....................... with fresh lemon juice or lime juice drizzled over them,
Oh they are wonderful and so versatile. At least one a day! Great with prawns and smoked salmon- And sliced onto a bacon sandwich.YUM- They make a BLT into a BLAT!
Shortie, as long as you are not gaining weight from eating them daily, I'd say you are eating an exceptionally healthy food full of, as you said, good fats. Well done, I'd keep it up.
The avocado is a complete food that is one can in theory survive by only eating avocados But because of it richness one has to be careful in not eating too many of them especially when adding them to a modern western diet already overloaded with far too many foods. I like avocados very much but because of their richness and oiliness if I eat one everyday I don't feel OK. It's better to eat half an avocado a day or a small one. Even better instead of eating a whole avocado spend a bit more by buying an organic avocado and eat only half, in such a way you will avoid to overload the system with chemicals used to grow avocados on a large scale to meet consumers demands.
Avocados are very healthy and good for you. It depends on the rest of your diet. If you are going to eat a healthy diet with the right amount of everything, then eating an avocado does not matter. However, if you eat the right amount of everything, but then ADD an avocado and not putting it into your diet along with the rest of the food, then you would get extra calories and such. I think it's best to maybe eat an avocado everyone other day. If you're eating to the maximum limit for your needs, then I'd advise you not to eat the extra avocado, rather than to replace some food in your diet with an avocado.
