Deep frying?!

Deep frying?

we deep fry alot and then drain the food on paper towels but hell we use almost a whole roll just for that. what else can i drain the food on besides paper towels???

1) cooling rack
2) let it drain in the basket
3) use old newspapers

Let it drain in the fryer basket.

you might try a cooling rack

a strainer!

Put the food on a wire rack and let it drip onto a plate or cookie sheet, then you can easily wash away the excess grease.

Let the food drain over the oil for awhile before putting on towel. You'll use much less towelling that way.

Put an upside down cooling rack on old newspaper. The cooling rack will wick oil away from the product quicker, and old newspaper is cheap and very absorbant. Just make sure to stack a page or two.

If your oil is hot enough your food shouldnt absorb it and you shouldnt be using so many paper towels each time. Try paper plates or a strainer even a cooling rack
