i personally love chewy but i would enjoy either!
I think that is a matter of 'personal choice' ... I prefer a good 'chewy' brownie, but have also eaten some excellent 'cake brownies' too ... but actually, I prefer 'dark fudge' or any 'dark chocolate truffle' to a brownie of any kind.
